(Did you Number his Fingers? A grandpa ‘s Confessions) by Gino Nebiolo

The book involves emotions of different generations explaining how grandparents feel when a grand child comes into their lives: anguish, fears and joys mix with the desire to welcome and support a new life.
THE AUTHOR – Gino Nebiolo (1924) has been working as a journalist since the end of the war and  met very important political figures like Krusciov, Zhou Enlai, Perón and Arafat. Now he is a writer and has five grandsons.



IL PESO SPECIFICO DELL’AMORE (Love Specific Weight) by Federica Bosco
This comedy reveals the thin limit between habits and unhappiness. A young girl with a boring boyfriend, a self centred boss, a depressed mother, a friend stalked by his ex- husband …she bakes cakes at night, but she hates cakes. The protagonist shows that the happy ending is just in movies, but the reality appears soon after the credits.
THE AUTHOR – Federica Bosco, author and scriptwriter, has already written a long series of best-selling novels included Mi piaci da morire, S.O.S. Amore, Un Amore di Angelo, Pazze di me (adapted into a film), Non tutti gli uomini vengono per nuocere and Sms .



(Outside it is raining, inside it is raining…May I take you out?) by Antonio Distefano

It is a love story between a white girl and a black boy: it just lasts one year among conflicts of mentality, problems with the families, with friends…it is a book written in one go, made of images like a song.
THE AUTHOR – Antonio Dikele Distefano is a boy from Angola, born Busto Arsizio and raised in Ravenna. This is his debut novel.


RIVOLUZIONI VIOLATE – Primavera laica, voto islamista
(Abused Rebellions – Secular Spring, Islamic Vote) by Giuliana Sgrena

Giuliana Sgrena analyses the different rebellions going on in the Arabian countries and investigates the causes of the Islamic ascent to the power by interviewing women who reveal  their concern about their freedom.
THE AUTHOR – Giuliana Sgrena has been a reporter for Il Manifesto since 1988 and works for the German weekly magazine Die Zeit. She has alreasy published Fuoco amico (2005), Il prezzo del velo. La guerra dell’Islam contro le donne (2008) and  Il ritorno. Dentro il nuovo Iraq (2010),



TU (You) by Caroline Kepnes

THE AUTHOR – Caroline Kepnes was born and raised in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. She started writing stories when still attending the high school, and is currently at work on Love, a sequel to You. Caroline’s fiction is often partly inspired by her career as an entertainment journalist. Over the years, she has contributed to Tiger Beat, Yahoo, E! Online and Entertainment Weekly. She loves dancing.
